Biography

As a Hillsboro, Ohio native, Richard B. Furnish, Esq., knows how hard Ohioans work and that’s why he works diligently to help them. He specializes in general litigation, criminal defense, domestic relations, corporate law, contracts, bankruptcy, real estate transactions, trusts, wills and estates.

Prior to opening his own practice in 2011, Furnish worked for the Ohio Attorney General Office and Black Letter Discovery.

He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, and the Central Ohio Association of Juvenile Lawyers. Furnish is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Southern District Federal Court.

Furnish received his Juris Doctorate from the Saint Louis University School of Law. Furnish also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While at Miami University, Furnish was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and the Miami Men’s Glee Club. Furnish also studied international business in Luxembourg. 

In his spare time, he is an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, the Cincinnati Bengals and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Sara, family and friends, as well as playing tennis, swimming and walking his basset hound, Dudley.
